COELESIRIE ou CLE, (Géog. ahc.) contrée de Syrie qui comprenoit, selon les uns, la vallée qui s'étend entre le Liban & l'Antiliban; selon d'autres, le même espace, avec le pays de Damas, & ce qui est entre la Syrie propre, la Phénicie, & la Palestine. Il y en a qui ne la bornent qu'à l'Arabie & à l'Egypte. Elle se nomme aujourd'hui Bocalbalbec.
