IMPORCITOR, s. m. (Myth.) dieu de la campagne & de l'agriculture, qui présidoit chez les anciens Romains, à la troisieme façon que l'on donnoit aux terres, après qu'on leur avoit confié le grain. Ce mot vient de porcoe, terme par lequel on désignoit la forme élevée des sillons; le flamine invoquoit le dieu imporcitor, en sacrifiant à Cérès & à la Terre. Dict. de Trévoux.
