GIBELOT, GIBLET, s. m. (Marine.) c'est ce qu'on nomme courbe capucine. Cette courbe sert à lier l'éperon avec le corps du vaisseau; ainsi une de ses branches porte sur l'étrave, où elle est assujettie avec des chevilles clavetées sur virole en - dedans du pan; & l'autre porte sur le digon, où elle est retenue par des clous à pointe perdue.
