TMARUS, (Géog. anc.) montagne de l'Epire, dans la Thesprotie. Strabon, liv. VII. p. 328. qui dit qu'on la nommoit aussi Tomarus, met un temple au pié de cette montagne. Pline & Solin écrivent pareillement Tomarus. C'est du nom de cette montagne que Jupiter est surnommé Tmarien, par Hésiche.

Les cent fontaines qui naissent au pié du mont Tmarus, sont célébrées par Théopompe. (D. J.)
