PHINTHIA, (Géog. anc.) 1°. ville de Sicile, que l'on juge avoir été dans l'endroit où est aujourd'hui Liata, & où l'on découvre un grand nombre d'antiquités. 2°. Phimhia est encore une fontaine de Sicile: Pline raconte d'après Appien, mais sans en rien croire, que tout ce qui y étoit jetté surnageoit. Elle étoit apparemment au voisinage de la ville Phinthia.
