Baguettes de tambour, (Luth.) ce sont deux
morceaux de bois qui ont chacun un pié ou quinze
pouces de longueur, sur neuf lignes ou environ de
diametre par le bout qu'on tient à la main, d'où ils
vont toûjours en diminuant jusqu'à l'autre bout, qui
a la forme & les dimensions d'une grosse olive; ils
sont tournés au tour, d'un bois dur & léger comme
l'ébene; & l'on s'en sert pour battre la caisse ou le
