* BAGRADE, (Géog. anc. & mod.) fleuve de l'ancienne Caramanie, connu maintenant sous le nom de Tisindon. Il a sa source dans les montagnes de cette province, passe à Pasagarde, & se jette dans l'Océan Persique.
Il y a en Afrique un fleuve du même nom; les savans le nomment Bagrada, Bragada, Macar, Macra, Bucara, Pagrarda. Il couloit près d'Utique; & ce fut sur ses bords qu'un serpent, dont la dépouille étoit de cent vingt piés de long, arrêta, dit - on, l'armée d'Attilius Régulus.
