Patenotrerie, s. f. (Comm. de chapelets.) marchandises de chapelets, ainsi dites, parce que les grains qui les composent sont nommés vulgairement patenôtres.

Le négoce de la patenôtrerie est assez considérable en France, particulierement à Paris, où il fait partie de celui de la mercerie.

L'ouvrier qui enjolive & vend toutes sortes de chapelets, se nomme patenôtrier.
