Pale, s. f. (Hydr.) est une petite vanne qui sert à ouvrir & fermer la chaussée d'un moulin ou d'un étang pour le mettre en cours. Quand on veut donner l'eau à la roue d'un moulin, on leve une pale qui est différente du déversoir d'un moulin. (K)
