PANCRATIASTES, s. m. pl. (Hist. anc. gymn.) athletes qui s'adonnoient sur - tout à l'exercice du pancrace. On donnoit quelquefois ce nom à ceux qui réussissoient dans les cinq sortes de combats compris sous le titre général de pentathle, qu'on appelloit aussi pancratie, parce que les athletes y déployoient toutes leurs forces.
