OPITERGIUM, (Géog. anc.) ancienne ville d'Italie au pays du peuple Veneti, entre Ceneda & la mer Adriatique. Les habitans sont nommés Opitergini par Lucain, Pline & Florus. Le nom moderne est Oderzo. Ce fut apparemment apres sa destruction par les Quades & les Marcomans, qu'Héraclius l'a rebâti, & qu'elle fut appellée Héraclée.
