ATTERRISSEMENT, s. m. terme synonyme à alluvion; c'est l'apport de terre, sable, ou limon, que la mer ou un fleuve apporte sur son rivage ou sur sa rive. Le Roi prétend que le nouveau sol que forme l'atterrissement, lui appartient, lorsque l'atterrissement est produit par une riviere navigable. Voyez Alluvion, qui est d'un usage plus particulierement consacré au droit Romain. (H)
