MALIAQUE, Golfe, en latin Maliacus sinus, (Géog.) ancien nom d'un golfe de Grece dans l'Archipel. Polybe l'appelle Melicus sinus, & Paufanias Lamiacus sinus. Son nom moderne est golfe de Zeiton, & non pas golfe de Volo, car ce golfe de Volo est le sinus Pelasgicus des anciens. (D. J.)
