MALACOIDE, (Botan.) Tournefort ne connoît que deux especes de ce genre de plante: la grande & la petite malacoïde, à fleur de bétoine; ni l'une ni l'autre n'ont besoin d'être décrites. Malacoïde vient de MALAKH mauve, & de E=IDOS2 apparence, comme qui diroit ressemblant à la mauve. La malacoïde en a aussi les propriétés. (D. J.)
