MACROCOSME, s. m. (Cosmogr.) signifie le monde entier, c'est - à - dire l'univers. Ce mot qui ne se trouve que dans quelques ouvrages anciens, & qui n'est plus aujourd'hui en usage, est composé des mots grecs MAKRO/S2 grand, & KO/SMOS2 monde.
