KARITE ou CARITE, s. f. (Théolog.) terme usité autrefois en Angleterre parmi les religieux pour meilleure boisson conventuelle ou biere forte: ils buvoient ainsi leur poculum caritatis ou coupe de grace. On donnoit souvent à cette coupe même le nom de karite ou carite. Harris supplément.
