KAI, ou TOKORO, s. m. (Hist. nat. Bot.) c'est une herbe des bois du Japon qui monte aux arbres, & qui approche de la coulevrée blanche. Sa racine ressemble à celle du gingembre & se mange. Ses fleurs formées en épis sont blanches, hexapétales, & de la grandeur d'une semence de coriandre, avec un pistil au milieu.
