(Mythol.) nom d'un dieu révéré par les Celtes ou les Goths; ils disoient qu'il étoit aveugle, mais extrèmement fort; les dieux & les hommes, ajoutoient - ils, voudroient bien qu'on n'eût jamais besoin de prononcer son nom, mais ils conserveront un long souvenir des exploits qu'ont fait ses mains.
