GÉRONTHRÉES, s. f. pl. (Littérat.) fêtes greques qui se célébroient tous les ans dans une des îles Sporades en l'honneur de Mars, par les Géronthréens, chez lesquels ce dieu par extraordinaire, avoit un temple celebre, où il n'étoit permis à aucune femme d'entrer pendant la solennité.
