GLEBE, s. f. (Jurispr.) signifie le fond d'une terre; il y avoit chez les Romains des esclaves qui étoient attachés à la glebe, & que l'on nommoit servi gleboe adscriptitii; il y a encore dans quelques provinces des serfs attachés à la glebe. Voy. Esclaves mortaillables & Serfs .

Parmi nous il y a certains droits incorporels qui sont attachés à une glebe, c'est - à - dire à une terre dont ils ne peuvent être séparés, tels que le droit de justice, le patronage. (A)
