GALLOGLASSE, s. f. (Hist. mod.) nom d'une milice d'Irlande. Cambden dans ses annales d'Irlande, page 792, dit que la milice des Irlandois est composée de cavaliers, qu'on appelle galloglasses, qui se servent de haches très - aigues, & d'infanterie qu'on nomme Rermés. Chambers. (Q)
