FUSCHIA, (Hist. nat. bot.) genre de plante dont le nom a été dérivé de celui de Léonard Fuschius. La fleur des plantes de ce genre est monopétale, faite en forme d'entonnoir, & découpée; son calice devient dans la suite un fruit arrondi, mou, charnu, divisé en quatre loges, & rempli de semences arrondies.
