EMENDER, v. act. (Jurisprud.) signifie corriger, réformer. Le juge d'appel qui infirme la sentence d'un juge inférieur, se sert du terme émendant, c'est - à - dire corrigeant la sentence dont est appel; & ensuite est le nouveau jugement que fait le juge d'appel.
