Crapaud, (Hist. nat. insect. aquat.) Le crapaud des Antilles n'est proprement qu'une très - grosse grenouille grise, mouchetée, ayant la peau fine; elle se tient ordinairement dans les costieres sur le penchant des montagnes, & quelquefois au bord des petits ruisseaux. La chair de ce crapaud est blanche & délicate; on la prépare en fricassée de poulet. Deux de ces animaux suffisent pour former un bon plat. Article de M. le Romain.
