ACHAT, s.m. (Commerce.) C'est l'acquisition d'une chose moyennant le payement de sa valeur. Achat se prend aussi pour la chose achetée. Vente est le contraire d'achat; & acheteur est opposé à vendeur.

On appelle Livre d'achat un Livre particulier dont les Marchands se servent pour écrire journellement toutes les marchandises qu'ils achetent. V. Livres. (G)
