ADEMPTION, s. f. en terme de Droit Civil, est la révocation d'un privilége, d'une donation, ou autre acte semblable.

L'ademption, ou la privation d'un legs, peut être expresse, comme quand le testateur déclare en forme qu'il révoque ce qu'il avoit légué; ou tacite, comme quand il fait cette révocation seulement d'une maniere indirecte ou implicite. Voyez Révocation. (H)
