ACQUIESCEMENT, s. m. terme de Droit, est l'adhésion d'une des parties contractantes ou collitigeantes, ou de toutes deux, à un acte ou un jugement. Ainsi acquiescer à une condition, à une clause, c'est l'accepter: acquiescer à un jugement, c'est en passer par ce qu'il ordonne. (H)

Acquiescement, (Commerce.) consentement qu'un Négociant ou autre personne donne à l'exécution d'une Sentence arbitrale, d'une Sentence des Consuls, ou autre acte fait en Justice. On ne peut revenir contre un Jugement, après un acquiescement; l'exécution d'un Jugement passe pour acquiescement. (G)
