VERT, le, (Géog. mod.) nom de deux petites rivieres de France, l'une en Béarn, l'autre dans le Quercy. La premiere naît dans la vallée de Barretons, & se jette dans le Gave au dessous d'Oleron. La seconde a sa source dans un village de son nom, & sombe dans le Lot, près de Cahors. (D. J.)
