TRIOSTEOSPERMUM, s. m. (Hist. nat. Botan. exot.) ou gicacuanha, voici son caractere. Sa fleur est tubuleuse, & n'a qu'une feuille divisée en cinq segmens rondelets; son calice est à cinq pieces. Il y en a un second placé sur l'embryon: celui - ci dégenere en un fruit rondelet, charnu, & contenant trois semences dures, larges à leur partie supérieure, & étroites par le bas. Miller le nomme triosteospermum latiore folio, flore rutilo, Hort. Elth. (D. J.)
