SOLTA, (Géogr. mod.) île du golphe de Venise, sur la côte de la Dalmatie, entre la ville de Tran & l'île de Lézina, près de Spalatro. Cette île étoit nommée par les anciens, Olynta, Soloentia & Bolentia. Elle appartient à présent aux Vénitiens, & on lui donne trente milles de tour, mais elle est presque deserte à cause de sa stérilité. (D. J.)
