QUADRILLON, s. m. (Arithmét.) ou mille fois mille trillions; c'est un nombre où l'on compte jusqu'à mille, mille, mille, mille, mille, mille, mille fois mille: il est composé de huit classes & d'une place, ou de vingt - cinq places d'unité, dont la dermere est marquée de quatre points. Dans cet exemple, 6, 543, 512, 234, 567, 890, 987, 664, 321. La vingt - cinquieme place, 6 indique par les unités combien tout ce nombre contient de quadrillons. Irson. (D. J.)
